Business Development Opportunities

Clients contacting the OECD can expect to receive a high level of quality services from a dedicated group of veteran economic development professionals. The staff will work extremely hard to find an acceptable site to locate a new facility and to assist in the preparation of a competitive financing package. We recognize the need to provide companies located in the Bradford area with a competitive advantage in order for them to be profitable and to employ people living within our community. Some industrial site decision-makers believe they will not receive a high level of services from economic development professionals located in rural areas. We, at the OECD, do not believe this to be true. The OECD believes it will provide industrial clients with high quality service, competitive financial incentives, and access to quality sites and facilities. Contact the OECD and find out about business development opportunities in our community. The following are some OECD resources you may wish to consider:

Pennsylvania's new Keystone Opportunity Zone (KOZ) Program is a key development incentive in the Bradford area. The Bradford Area KOZ includes 18 sites totaling more than 477 acres. A key incentive for the KOZ Program is elimination of virtually all state and local taxes until at least 12/31/10.

The OECD will help businesses find acceptable commercial, service, and industrial space. We maintain an up to date inventory of available property. The OECD owns and manages four multi-tenant facilities, which have over 220,000 sq. ft. under roof and currently house 22 tenants.

The Bradford area has a motivated labor force available to meet the needs of local employers who are considering expanding and those businesses considering locating new facilities in our community. Let the OECD provide you with information on our labor force and introduce you to job training opportunities.

The OECD is familiar with numerous economic development programs available at a local, regional, state and federal level. We maintain a very close working relationship with the Governor's Action Team and other economic development agencies. In addition, the OECD manages a locally controlled Revolving Loan Fund with assets in excess of $3 million.
